前司法院長林洋港因病逝世，台北市長郝龍斌今（14）日表示，林洋港是政治前輩，在擔任台北市長任內面臨龐大壓力，卻獨排眾議興建翡翠水庫，讓台北市乾旱時不會缺水，對國家有非常重大貢獻。

郝龍斌說，他對林洋港的辭世感到哀悼，林洋港在台北市長任內獨排眾議興建翡翠水庫，雖然在當時承受非常大壓力，如今回頭看，也因為當時林洋港堅持興建翡翠水庫，乾旱時大台北地區才不致缺水。

郝龍斌說，如今台北市的信義計畫區有非常好的發展，是林洋港在台北市長任內所做的整體規劃，擔任內政部長及司法院長時，也有非常多的建樹，林洋港對國家是有貢獻的。

至於立法院長王金平則說，林洋港留下很多政績，是台灣一位備受尊敬的政治人物，從政歷程都值得大家敬佩，許多特殊魅力也值得後輩學習。
