休士頓火箭隊30日打出亮眼一戰，在球隊面臨季後賽慘遭橫掃危機，加上主控林書豪因傷缺陣的情況下，火箭板凳群卻殺出一批即時英雄，包括臨危受命扛先發的賈西亞(Francisco Garcia)、比佛利(Patrick Beverley)和上演爆扣雷帝美技的戴菲諾(Carlos Delfino)，幫助火箭避免遭到雷霆橫掃的命運。
火箭隊主控林書豪在季後賽首輪第二戰右胸挫傷後，第三戰帶傷上場表現卻受到嚴重影響，這也讓火箭教頭麥克海爾(Kevin McHale)在第四戰開打前夕，出現了讓林書豪養傷的想法。而在30日的第四戰，林書豪果然乖乖坐在板凳上，改由老將賈西亞頂替先發。
不過火箭在面對橫掃加上傷兵的雙重威脅下，板凳球員卻在此時發揮了其作用。首先是從第二戰就轉任先發的比佛利，今日比賽繳出16分、4籃板和3助攻的成績，加上在防守端的拚勁多次製造雷霆失誤。
緊接著今日頂替林書豪先發的賈西亞，雖然全場僅有9分進帳，但全是在第一節靠著三分球所拿下，幫助火箭有一個相當好的開局。除了在進攻端的貢獻外，賈西亞在雷霆比賽終了前的最後一波進攻，也扛下負責防守杜蘭特(Kevin Durant)的重任，最終成功妨礙了杜蘭特的出手，迫使他將球傳給傑克森(Reggie Jackson)，也間接成就了火箭的最終勝利。
而本季一直穩定扮演火箭板凳暴徒角色的戴菲諾，今日同樣有亮眼表現，他全場轟進13分，外帶4籃板、3助攻，甚至在第三節時完成一次漂亮抄截後反快攻，還狠狠的在回防的「雷帝」杜蘭特(Kevin Durant)防守下完成爆扣，振奮全隊士氣和整場球迷。
此外，就連季末才回鍋的布魯克斯(Aaron Brooks)，都在第一節和第三節雷霆追分期加入搶分，甚至是用防守建功。這幾名例行賽替補球員的好表現，也讓火箭今日的8人輪替打來是競爭力十足，也成功奪下了今年季後賽的第一勝。更多NBA精采圖片
